People Incorporated needs substitute staff to work on an as needed basis within its Child and Family Development Department. We need substitutes for the following positions: Teacher Assistant, Driver, and Cook. These positions will involve working within the organization’s Head Start and Early Head Start centers. Director of Child and Family Development
People Incorporated of Virginia is now accepting applications for the position of Director of Child and Family Development. Responsibilities will include the implementation, management, and direction of child and family development services for Head Start, Early Head Start, and Child Day Care programs to insure programmatic compliance and attainment of performance measures. The position includes supervision of a staff of 130 and management of an approximately $4M budget. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field, at least five years experience conducting Project Coordination functions (experience in a child services setting preferred), prior supervisory experience, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record. Shelter Manager/Court Advocate
An individual is needed to oversee the operations of an emergency shelter facility and to provide direct services to victims of abuse in Buchanan County. The eligible applicant should have the following qualifications: an Associates’ degree or a minimum of two years of course work in mental health or social service field; two years experience working with the judicial system and/or coordinating services with law enforcement, prosecutors, and other community based programs or working with domestic violence victims; strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to keep accurate records; a valid driver’s license; and a good driving record. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work flexible hours, which may include occasional weekends and evenings. Agency applications received by May 31, 2013 will be considered.
