Individual will be responsible for helping teacher implement a formal curriculum. Qualifications include: High school diploma/GED and a CDA or an associate degree in Early Childhood Education within two years of employment, reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record. People Incorporated of Virginia is accepting applications for the position of Case Manager with the Virginia CARES (Community Action Re-entry Solution) Program. The position requires presenting educational workshops to groups in prison settings; job development; identifying resources to assist offenders after their release; and preparing required reports and correspondence. Successful candidates will have: a minimum of an AA degree in any human services field and/or two years prior experience working with incarcerated adults or ex-felons or other hard-to-serve population; effective communication skills; computer skills; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. In addition, the candidate must be able to pass a criminal record check and drug screening as required by the Department of Corrections to be eligible for employment in this position. People Incorporated of Virginia is seeking an individual to provide in-home services to families who participate in the Comprehensive Health Investment Project (CHIP) in Buchanan, Russell and Dickenson Counties. The eligible applicant must be knowledgeable about: assisting families with young children; child growth and development; and parenting. An AA degree in child development, human services or related field is desirable with a minimum of one year experience as a home visitor or working in a community based organization. The applicant must have reliable transportation, an excellent driving record, be willing to travel daily and be willing to submit to and receive a satisfactory background check. Single Family Housing Rehab Coordinator
People Incorporated of Virginia is seeking a qualified individual to administer programs that provide rehab of homes, indoor plumbing rehab, and/or assistance with water or wastewater systems. The Coordinator will also oversee two related loan programs. Job duties include production planning, outreach, and eligibility determination. Client home visiting, procuring bids, monitoring construction progress, inspections and compliance reporting are also required. Experience with budgeting, grant regulations, knowledge of construction practices, and guidelines for water and wastewater systems are preferred. The ability to prioritize work tasks, communicate clearly, and follow funder guidelines are necessary. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are also required.
