People Incorporated’s Head Start, Early Head Start and affordable childcare programs are enrolling for this school year!
Our eight Head Start centers and home-based services promote early childhood education, health, nutrition, social services, parent education, family development, and parent involvement for income-eligible families with children ages 3 to 4 years old.
Dedicated teachers provide screenings during enrollment. We also encourage parents to participate in the program, volunteer, attend parenting training, adult literacy and career skills classes.
Our Early Head Start program supports children up to 3 years of age and prepares them for success in school. In addition to developmental, health, and nutrition screenings, we also offer parenting education and services to prenatal mothers. The program includes on-site and home-based options.
We also offer affordable quality day care for qualifying families at the Dickenson County Childcare Center in Clintwood. The center provides supervised, age-appropriate activities designed to promote learning through full-day infant-toddler and preschool classrooms, before and after school childcare, and full-day summer care for children 3-12 years old.
