Changes to Head Start Eligibility Make Enrolling Easier

The Office of Head Start recently passed a law allowing families who are eligible for SNAP (Supplementary Nutrition Assistance Program) to automatically be eligible for Head Start.

This not only cuts down on paperwork for the Head Start enrollment process, but it eliminates the burden that families have to provide a proof of income when enrolling. The goal of the new initiative is to improve access to Head Start services and to streamline enrollment processes.
