Samantha Barber is the Director of Community Engagement at People Incorporated of Virginia. She has over 24 years of experience in the business, management, nonprofit and financial sectors.
As Director of Community Engagement, Barber is responsible for building relationships within the communities that the agency serves, partnering with nonprofit organizations and leaders to support and assist community members. She leads the development of positive relationships with community stakeholders, advises executive leadership on community needs and opportunities, and builds productive relationships with public, private, and nonprofit officials. She collaborates with senior staff to enhance agency partnerships and participates in multi-agency groups and community coalitions on behalf of the organization.
Barber holds a bachelor’s degree in social science and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in organizational leadership. She is also the President and CEO/Founder of Reaching Out Now, Inc., a nonprofit organization that serves families with children in public schools. She lives in Middletown, Virginia, with her husband, two kids, and two four-legged children.
