People Inc. helps Washington County native purchase home

Mark Buttry has lived in Washington County his entire life. When he and his were expecting their first daughter in 1994, he knew they would need more space than their small apartment had to offer.

Mark found out about People Incorporated’s first-time homebuyer services and sought help from the agency nearly 30 years ago to help him purchase a home. People Incorporated not only helped him purchase the land, but also contracted the new construction of his house.

While the agency no longer handles contracting for new construction, People Incorporated’s first-time homebuyer loans allow clients to purchase a home with low interest rates, homebuyer education, and flexible payoff options.

For Mark, his home has been a place of comfort and security for many years. He has made some improvements over time to ensure the upkeep of his home, such as putting on a new roof and building a back deck. Thanks to the help of People Incorporated, Mark was able to pay off his mortgage last summer, and he is now looking forward to retirement without the burden of a house payment.

Mark is grateful to People Incorporated for their assistance over the years and credits his success to them. “Jamie Gross has been an angel on my shoulder all these years,” he said. “I’m very thankful.”
