People Incorporated’s Project Discovery program works with first-generation students in Washington, Russell, and Buchanan Counties to help them prepare for their next step after high school.
As part of the program, students have the opportunity to tour colleges, where they can meet with admissions, learn more about the financial aid process, and more.
Recently, the group toured Appalachian State University. Students took a tour of main campus, ate lunch in Plemmons Student Union, and participated in a scavenger hunt to learn more about the campus.
