Joshua Pevarnik joined People Incorporated of Virginia in January 2025 as the Chief Financial Officer responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring the integrity of financial operations. Pevarnik is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over ten years of experience in financial and accounting leadership.
Pevarnik began his career at a Top Ten national accounting firm serving in their audit, tax, and consulting practice. He specialized as a Controller providing outsourced accounting services for various nonprofit organizations before moving to Arkansas to help lead a Habitat for Humanity affiliate. In this role he improved accounting policies and procedures, initiated budgetary and strategic vision planning, increased efficiency through the implementation of new systems, and focused on people development.
Pevarnik attended the University of Colorado and holds a master’s degree in accounting. He is originally from Pittsburgh but currently resides in Southwest Virginia with his wife Hannah and their two daughters. Pevarnik loves to give back to his community by using his vocational talents to serve others and help them reach their goals and dreams. Pevarnik enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, serving his local church, and listening to podcasts.
