Kelli Smith is the Chief Impact Officer for People Incorporated of Virginia. She oversees the development, execution, and evaluation of the agency’s programs, ensuring alignment with mission and strategic goals.
Smith has 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and eight years of experience at People Inc. She is also a Certified Community Action Professional.
As Chief Impact Officer, Smith works across all service delivery programs to provide oversight, support strategic leadership, and facilitate cross-departmental coordination to effectively meet the organization’s goals. She provides strategic guidance for organization programs from initial design and planning through to implementation and evaluation.
Smith holds a master’s degree from East Tennessee State University and a bachelor’s degree from Emory & Henry University. She is most proud of expanding the agency’s data capabilities, ensuring all programs are providing the highest quality services possible. She enjoys living in rural Appalachia with her husband, child, and dogs and spending time cooking and trail running.
