Kim Hill is the Director of Child and Family Development at People Incorporated of Virginia. Hill brings 35 years of experience in child development and 16 years of experience in leadership to her role.
As the Director of Child and Family Development, Hill oversees over eight Head Start centers and home-based programs across the agency’s service footprint. She is responsible for developing and managing department grants and budgeting, overseeing strategic planning and impact, and guiding the department’s leadership team.
Hill previously served as the agency’s Associate Director of Child and Family Development, the Family and Community Development Manager, and Parent Involvement Specialist/Parent and Community Liaison.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in civic innovation from Emory & Henry University and an associate’s degree in human services with a specialization in early childhood education from Virginia Highlands Community College alongside multiple child and family services credentials. She has served on the Virginia Head Start Board of Directors since 2017 and was elected president in both 2020 and 2023. In 2023, Hill was awarded the Early Childhood Partner of the Year Impact Award from the United Way of Southwest Virginia.
