Mark Moormans is the Director of Affordable Housing Management for People Incorporated of Virginia. Moormans oversees operations of the agency’s 32-property portfolio of family and senior affordable housing across Virginia and Tennessee.
Moormans is responsible for the recruitment and development of 40+ staff members charged with the management and compliance of properties and resident services. He acts as a liaison with the People Inc. affordable housing development team on budget, planning, and transition of new projects while driving organizational development, process improvement, training and technology within the affordable housing management sphere.
Moormans has over 20 years of experience in public, private, and nonprofit sectors with proven expertise in people, product, and project management. He previously served as the Strategic Projects Manager for People Inc. before the transition into affordable housing management.
Moormans has continuing executive education from the University of Tennessee and holds a bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
