People Inc.’s CHIP Program Awarded $93,000 Grant

People Incorporated of Virginia’s CHIP program has received a $93,969 Youth Tobacco Use Prevention grant from the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth. This contribution will fund our efforts for three years, allowing us to motivate youth to embrace a healthier lifestyle and educate them on the risks of tobacco use in the City of Bristol, Buchanan, Dickenson, Russell, and Washington Counties. As part of the funding, the agency is also hosting monthly tobacco cessation support group meetings.

Our CHIP program works with eligible families with young children to offer medical support, developmental screenings, and connection to community resources.
