Construction has officially started on People Incorporated’s latest affordable housing project in Culpeper, Lightfoot Apartments.
The construction site on Lightfoot Street is currently undergoing site preparation. The team is focusing on land movement and leveling, utility installation, and the construction of a retaining wall.
The agency broke ground on the property in August 2024 and the project is progressing with a completion date estimated for February 2026. Once finished, the 60-unit complex will offer housing for income-eligible families. The community will also house a playground and community center.
