This month, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Jessica, our dedicated Weatherization Program Compliance Officer. Since rejoining People Incorporated in November 2022 (after previously serving from 2009–2011), Jessica has become an indispensable part of our Weatherization team.
Jessica keeps the program running smoothly by managing incoming calls, maintaining waiting lists, certifying client eligibility, coordinating vendor bids for the Essential Home and Accessibility Repair Program, Weatherization Deferral Repair Program, and Appalachian Power Company Weatherization program, ensuring contractor compliance, tracking staff training, scheduling energy audits, entering client information into Empower, monitoring job completions, and tackling whatever else needs to be done—all with a positive attitude and a willingness to help.
When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Jessica’s answer was simple: “Helping clients.” That commitment is evident in everything she does. Clients frequently praise her patience, compassion, and professionalism. One grateful homeowner wrote that Jessica’s kindness, encouragement, and willingness to explain every step of the process “made a huge difference” in her life and home. Another client thanked Jessica for her efficiency and responsiveness, saying she made them feel “valued and supported every step of the way.”
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and children and loves being outdoors whenever she can.
