People Inc. provides disaster relief services after Hurricane Helene

People Incorporated is now offering two services designed to assist community members affected by Hurricane Helene. These services are focused on helping workers who lost their jobs and community members whose homes suffered damage due to the natural disaster.

“Since 1964, People Incorporated has been dedicated to addressing the needs of the communities we serve,” said President and CEO Bryan Phipps. “We are here to help after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Many families in our region have lost their homes and jobs, and we’re here to help in their time of need.”

People Incorporated’s dislocated worker program is dedicated to supporting those who have found themselves unemployed due to no fault of their own, including individuals who have lost employment as a direct result of Hurricane Helene. The program offers comprehensive job coaching and job search assistance to help individuals re-enter the workforce in our Southwest Virginia and New River Valley service areas. Financial assistance is also available for training and necessary materials.

People Incorporated also offers housing counseling services to support those who have lost their homes or experienced significant damage in our Southwest Virginia service area. A certified housing counselor can help individuals navigate insurance paperwork, connect them with resources, and help communicate with lenders, insurance companies and government agencies.
