People Incorporated welcomes new director of community economic development

People Incorporated has named Stephanie Lillard are its new director of community economic development. Lillard brings nearly 20 years of experience in business lending, community and economic development, and a long-standing commitment to serving her community to her new role at the agency.

“I’m excited to be returning to People Incorporated,” said Lillard. “I love the agency’s mission to provide opportunities that change lives and communities. I look forward to increasing outreach and awareness around the availability of funding for our clients.”

Lillard previously worked as a Business Development Manager for People Incorporated from 2009 to 2013. She has served as a board member for the Page County Economic Development Authority and the Luray Page County Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center. She has served the Town of Luray as a councilmember since 2021.

Lillard is a lifelong resident of Luray and lives there with her husband and their two daughters.

People Incorporated offers loans, training, and technical services to help start or expand businesses and create jobs. The agency also offers personal loans to qualified individuals.
